Blended Weight Loss
What Is Blended Weight loss?
Blended weight loss is nothing magical or
revolutionary, its simply the application of good old common
sense to an environment which fueled by fads and highly
publicized success stories. Weight loss tablets will work
extremely well on some people, exercise regimes work a treat
on others, simple diet control works for another group of
people and gadgets such as sauna belts have an unbelievable
effect on other people. The common theme here is that all
these methods apply to a fairly small group of people. We
estimate that around 30 - 40 % of people fall into one of
the groups above and the remaining 60 -70 % of people have
a pretty frustrating time trying to loose weight. Blending
weight loss techniques help to harness the limited effect
of each method and achieve a combined result which is greater
than the sum of all parts.
Why blended weight loss
In many cases, employing extreme diet or weight
loss methods only leads to the body compensating in other
areas and the effects of the method used are reduced until
you feel that the cost/benefit ratio is far from beneficial.
By combining a multitude of methods in moderate amounts,
means that the body doesn't compensate for each individual
aspect of weight loss used and the overall effect is a successful
weight loss programme.
How to apply blended weight loss
Inorder to loose weight the body must be in
a negative energy cycle, which means the body must be using
more energy than it is obtaining from outside. This sounds
simple, so why is it so hard to achieve. Firstly if you
reduce the amount of energy you ingest (eat or drink) then
your body will compensate by reducing the energy available
for exercise or reducing natural bodily function which burn
energy, this is why you may feel lethargic or be more susceptible
to illness when you reduced intake. Secondly if you increase
exercise to burn more energy you may become increasingly
hungry or the body may reduce the normal level of bodily
activity, so that muscle tissue and sinew damage during
exercise take longer to repair and can lead to sporting
injuries.
Blended Weight loss
Exercise in moderation - Don't start
an exercise program which is over ambitious, start slowly
and build into it. There are many good article about exercise
using heart rate monitors to moderate and measure exertion
level. Follow this advice and you will avoid injury and
begin to enjoy exercise as part of your life style.
Eat in moderation - Stay away from
fad diets which promise rapid results. Many fast acting
diets trick the body into burning of energy or loosing water.
The human body has evolved over millions of years and is
well equipped to adapt to times of lean food intake. Start
a sensible diet which is achievable and not full of exotic
hard to get foods. A weight loss diet should be a long term
eating plan that spans months not days or weeks. Reducing
snacks or portion sizes is an excellent place to start.
If you need help, you can try hypnotherapy to stop the habitual
snack and eating traits, or try an appetite suppressant
herbal supplement to stop the hunger urges.
Keep Active - Your body burns most of its
energy reserve when it is engaged in a sustained low intensity
activity, such as house work or walking around and even
during rest periods when your metabolism is hard at work
keeping your body maintained and healthy. You can always
try some of the herbal supplements which are specifically
designed to increase metabolism.
